Design Challenge 2026: Maternal and neonatal care
Teams submitted projects geared towards solving challenges in maternal and neonatal health. The most innovative projects will represent Kenya in the Regional Design Competition, which brings together innovators across the continent.

Design Challenge 2026: Assistive devices
Teams worked through a defined problem to a prototype and a pitch over one week at CDIE, developing solutions to real-world challenges affecting the differently abled, from mobility aids to devices that support caregivers.
