The criticality of textile in the medical device design and development is often overlooked in the many facilities and design hubs. CDIE recognizes that textile products are significant in achieving specific structural and functional elements of the medical devices. Hence, we developed a textile and uphostery lab for innovators interested inwearable technology, custom upholstery, and other types of medical textile to explore their talents and come up with functional prototypes. This facility also offers a wide range of machines for sewing, cutting, and manipulating fabric to support innovators’ work. This segmant of the design studio allows innovators to combine, style and comfort when developing products.
