FAQs

  • Are there sponsorship opportunities? Yes. Scholarship opportunities may be available based on individual eligibility. Details regarding the application procedure and selection criteria are provided during the application process.
  • Can one get a job / a teaching assistant? No. This is a full-time Master’s program delivered by dedicated faculty. There are no teaching assistant positions available within the program structure.
  • Can one take the classes online or over the weekend? Due to the program’s emphasis on clinical and industrial immersion, as well as direct engagement with industry partners, it is offered exclusively as a full-time, in-person program.
  • What is the difference between this program and the Biodesign fellowship? The Biodesign Fellowship is a 10-month, intensive innovation program designed for mid-career professionals, focusing on the full cycle from need identification to device development. In contrast, the master’s program admits recent graduates and follows a structured academic curriculum that integrates Biodesign principles and may culminate in conceptual device prototypes.
  • How does the program support students who already have early-stage medical device ideas they want to develop? Students entering the program with preliminary innovations will be equipped with the skills and frameworks necessary to advance their concepts, from ideation through to ecosystem navigation, prototyping, and potential commercialization.
